When things get heated out in the streets these days, seems like the first reaction is for somebody to grab a gun and start blasting. Especially when you’re out a a club or bar. People just don’t scrap hardly anymore, outside of the occasional fight video you see here on ThisIs50.

The video you’re about to check out is from an incident that happened back in April in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

What started as an argument in a parking lot ends in a deadly shooting. Notice not one punch is thrown before the shooter goes to his car to get his pistol.

Also peep how everybody except for the bartender gets low to the ground when the gunshots start. I don’t know what the hell this woman was thinking, but her reaction time was mad slow.

A 25 year old man, Kevin Cobbs Jr lost his life during this senseless act of violence.

The person narrating the video is Omar Yildirim, the owner of Philly’s Steaks Sports Bar and Grill where the shooting took place.

VANCOUVER, Wash. — A 28-year-old Vancouver, Wash., woman who had acid thrown in her face has undergone surgery at a Portland hospital.

Legacy Emanuel Medical Center spokeswoman Amber Shoebridge said Wednesday night that Bethany Storro’s surgery went well and she was resting.

Bethany Storro, of Vancouver, Wash., was getting something out of her car in downtown Vancouver when the attack happened Monday evening, her mother Nancy Neuwelt told The Oregonian.

Neuwelt said a young woman walked up to her daughter, said: “Hey pretty girl, do you want to drink this?” and tossed a cup of liquid in Storro’s face.

“I’m a nice girl and I don’t know why this happened,” Storro, 28, said Tuesday in her hospital room in the Oregon Burn Center at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland, The Columbian newspaper reported.

Storro said the pain was the most excruciating she had ever experienced, her mother told The Columbian.

“It was burning through her shirt. She took off her shirt and she was trying to wipe her face,” Neuwelt said, according to the newspaper.

‘Felt like her heart stopped’
Storro “kind of remembers walking in circles,” Neuwelt added. “She felt like her heart stopped at one point.”

She collapsed, screaming for help, only to realize she was not being heard. She got back up and stumbled toward a group of people, The Oregonian reported.

“Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers,” Storro said in a written statement Tuesday, The Oregonian reported. “I appreciate all of the well wishes being sent my way. I do ask, if anyone should know the woman who assaulted me, please contact the Vancouver Police.“

Neuwelt said her daughter was wearing a pair of sunglasses she had bought shortly before the attack and that may have saved her eyesight. Still, Storro’s family said her face will take months to heal.

“It’s very bizarre, very random and very weird, and we don’t understand it,” Neuwelt told The Columbian, speaking by phone from her daughter’s bedside.

“She’s having a hard time,” she added. “It’s changed her life now and her emotions are all over the place.”

Recently moved to city
Neuwelt told The Columbian that her daughter had recently moved to Vancouver and was single with no children.

“She wanted to make a fresh start and this happened,” Neuwelt, a worship leader and administrative assistant at a local church, told the paper. “Bethany is a really great, fun, energetic and adorable girl, and she didn’t deserve this.”

“I am so disgusted with society right now!” Storro’s brother, Abraham Neuwelt of Seattle, said on his Facebook page, The Columbian reported.

“Yesterday my little sister got some form of acid thrown into her face while walking through downtown Vancouver, WA. She is currently in the hospital with severe burns and could face permanent damage. This incident was totally unprovoked and malicious in nature. If you believe in prayer, now is the time to ask for a full recovery and that the assailant be brought to justice!“

Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp said doctors and authorities were trying to determine what kind of substance caused Storro’s facial burns.

Police said the assailant was described as a black woman between 25 and 35, who wore a green shirt and khaki shorts, The Columbian reported. She had medium-length black hair that was pulled back.

There might be the occasional flare-up on court – but it was on the genteel stands of the Arthur Ashe Stadium that the real action took place yesterday.

Police were forced to escort three fans out of the U.S. Open after a fight broke out during Novak Djokovic’s match against Philipp Petzschner.
The second round match was halted in the eighth game of the first set after the brawl kicked off – apparently when a female spectator and her father took exception to another fan’s swearing.

Fight: After being told they did not approve of his behaviour the man continued to swear at the pair, prompting the woman’s father to lash out at the spectator

Tumble: The men then tussled and fell two rows of seats before the woman approached the man and slapped him. All three were later handcuffed and led away

Third-seed Djokovic and Petzschner stopped playing and looked up into the stands while New York police handcuffed the fans and led them out of the stadium in Flushing Meadows, Queens.
U.S. Tennis Association spokesman Chris Widmaier said afterwards there had been a ‘disagreement over verbiage’ during the game on Thursday.
Reports suggest the woman, in her 40s, and her father confronted a male fan who was ‘swearing and acting obnoxiously’.

Tennis brawl: After the woman slapped the man other fans became involved and tried to separate the pair

Fists stop play: No one is believed to have been hurt in the clashes but the trio were handcuffed and led away by police

Police claim the man was unhappy at their feedback and continued to swear at the pair.
The woman then slapped the male fan before her father and the man tussled and fell over two rows of seats.
The trio were later handcuffed and led away from the stadium. None of the fans were arrested and instead were told not to return to the U.S. Open for the foreseeable future.
Widmaier later attempted to play down the incident, stating: ‘It was a hot night in New York. Things happen.’ dailymail.co.uk

He was riding his moped earlier this week when he was hit by a pick-up truck.

It sent the man flying.. also look for the shoe that went high into the air.

Amazingly, he gets right up after the crash.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Chris Brown returns to the top of the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart for the first time since 2006, as “Deuces” jumps from No. 2 to No. 1 this week.

Hitting the top in just its ninth week on the list, it ties for the year’s fastest climb to No. 1. In April, Monica’s “Everything to Me” also raced to the penthouse in just nine weeks.

“Deuces” (featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall ) is Brown’s third No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs after his debut single “Run It!” in 2005 and the following year’s “Say Goodbye.” The latter reigned for six weeks, while “Run It!” spent two frames at the top.

Last month, Billboard reported that there was no official word from Jive, Brown’s record label, as to when his fourth studio album will be released. The singer has tweeted that his next set may arrive in 2011 or sooner, possibly preceded by a mixtape. Brown’s last album, 2009′s “Graffiti,” has sold 319,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Brown has been on a roll lately. In addition to his first No. 1 on R&B/Hip-Hop Songs in nearly four years, he’s also co-starring in the film “Takers,” which was the highest grossing film at the U.S. and Canada box office last weekend (Aug. 27-29). It earned $20.5 million in its opening three days. “Takers” is Brown’s first foray into film since the November 2007 holiday release “This Christmas.“

This week, Brown tweeted a missive to his followers regarding his current successes: “Life has turned around for me. I couldn’t be more happier. Thanks to the fans.”

You thought that Rihanna reign would let up? Time to put down the Haterade. RiRi, who’s fresh off the success of her fourth album Rated R, is finishing up her fifth release, with plans in place to debut its first single next week.

Ryan Seacrest will premiere “Only Girl (In the World)” on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at 3 a.m. PST/6 a.m. EST. The dance track sees the Bajan singer linking back up with Norwegian production team Stargate, who produced Rated R’s No. 1 hit “Rude Boy,” as well as “Hate That I Love You” and “Don’t Stop the Music.”

“In less than 10 dayz ima send u sumn special, and ur gonna play it OVER and OVER, like I’m the only girl in the world!” Rihanna tweeted to Seacrest earlier this week.

Her as-yet-untitled album, due in November, is expected to be more upbeat than its darker predecessor. “It’s about getting past any drama and just being happy to be alive,” producer Sean Garrett told Rap-Up.com of the record he submitted. “It’s an encouraging record. It feels great and it’s got great tempo.”

Rihanna wrapped her “Last Girl on Earth” tour last month and is currently in Hawaii shooting her theatrical debut Battleship.
