B.G. Rejoins Cash Money Records

With the addition of Cory Gunz to the stable, it has been reported that rapper B.G. has returned home and signed back with Cash Money Records.

Although money troubles in the past caused a rift in the business and personal relationship between the rapper and Birdman, it looks like the time away has allowed B.G. to get his business mentality up to par to ensure that what happened to him before won’t happen again.

It feels like the Hot Boyz reunion is coming a lot closer as days progress.

Already building his relationship back with Mannie Fresh, Juvenile and Lil Wayne, the vintage Cash Money army is starting to make their return.

Speaking with HipHopWired, B.G. spoke on becoming a free agent after the release of Too Hood 2 Be Hollywood and what it would take to be back with Cash Money and Birdman.

“If the numbers right, if it makes sense.”

He also spoke on how Baby attempted to help B.G. be released from Atlantic Records.

“E1 called Atlantic and questioned them what they doing with me. What’s the hold up on B.G’s album? He offered them a deal, baby offered them a deal to and they turned him down. I guess, they don’t want to see me win or not. Everything worked out perfect, it couldn’t be better.”

Similar to the possibility of L.O.X. doing business with Diddy again, let’s hope that B.G. has smartened up since then and won’t make the same mistake.

The troubled hip-hop artist was arrested Tuesday in Phoenix for violating his probation after telling his probation officer that he’s been using cocaine and otherwise not complying with the court-ordered rules he’s supposed to be living by.

He was duly locked up after being booked on five counts of probation violation, having now racked up nearly a dozen arrests in three years.

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, served 90 days in jail last year on animal cruelty, theft and marijuana and narcotics possession charges, then managed to avoid yet another go-round in the pokey by pleading guilty to aggravated assault for throwing a food tray at a guard while he was locked up.

With everything seeming to be on the up and up for DMX, who was supposed to return to Florida to cut a new album, what went incorrect?

Well, for one thing, the Cradle 2 the Grave star needs more rehab, according to his lawyer. Possibly even Celebrity Rehab.

“He’s been battling addiction for some time and he’s in need of treatment,” attorney Gary Jenkins told TMZ. “We’re hoping that Dr. Drew may be able to help him out.”

Considering DMX has been auditioning for Drew Pinsky’s VH1 show for a few years now, perhaps it’s time the excellent doc gave him a chance.
